What IS news?

Well interested reader, news, in my opinion, is the delivery of any kind of information by any medium. If I were to send you a message in a bottle that said 'I just bought a stick of gum!' it would be news to you, so I think that really any information you hear from anything is 'news'. What most people consider 'news' is the man in a gray suit, white shirt, red tie, slicked back hair, clean shaved, deep voice, and the 'look' delivering 'BREAKING NEWS AT 6'. No. Those people annoy me. but that's a separate point.

News should be any kind of new information (Sports, International, Health, Economic, Local, Personal crap, ANYTHING) that is released to any amount of people (One, two, four, twenty, two hundred, two million) in any medium (iPad, FOX, CNN, Facebook, Note in a bottle, Fortune cookie). That is my definition, and I'm sticking to it. There are different degrees to the importance of the news though.

Important news is the kind of news that is worthy of headlines, big story of the day on TV, and is talked about by everyone such as things that affects the nation/world, medical breakthroughs, and major entertainment news.

The medium level is for news that's get thrown in with Important stuff to make sure it is seen. This is the stories that are in the middle of the paper, leading up to big stories on the TV, and things people don't really talk about unless it's in their area.

The lowest level of news is the level of small local and personal news that is not shown on TV or papers and is only spoken about with friends or small groups of people.
